About the show: Set in London 10 years from now, this is a story about a global rewind. Things can only get 'so inclusive', before we start going backwards again, particularly within a lens of queer politics. The cruel act of conversion therapy is back, with the government determined to gather as many queer Londoners as possible and set them up towards a ‘perfect’ society. And what unites every Londoner, regardless of sex, orientation or background? The tube. Through the perspective of protagonist Skye Hughes, we witness a closeted 18-year old lesbian try to navigate her generation, as well as try to rewrite the future. A story of change and the importance of protest. How can someone small but mighty make all the difference?
About the music: A contemporary musical theatre setting with a twist. The musical uplifts audiences with its Latin and Middle Eastern-inspired sound, creating an ironic contrast between the “Overground” (heteronormativity) and the “Underground” world of the Outcasts (Queer People of London).
Themes: Identity, LGBTQIA+, Queer History, Queer Politics, Protest, Revolution, Self-Discovery, Change, Queer Culture, Friendship, Justice, Trauma, Grief
