FRIDAY NIGHT SERVICE
It’s always a Friday night… the rhythm of it folds, unfolds, and refolds until I can’t tell if I’m inside it or it’s inside me. It was theirs, then mine, then no one’s, then everyone’s, then somehow mine again. The night should be over. But it isn’t. It never is.
Friday Night Service is a spiritual crisis disguised as a dance piece, or possibly the other way around.
Drawing on (mostly) true events, childhood bewilderment, and the raw physicality of K.R.U.M.P. Theatre, the piece opens a wider conversation about faith, doubt, and the crack in between.
