Bea. Is a kistchy medieval dark comedy which reimagines the mythic unrequited love of Dante Alighieri and Beatrice Portinari. Drawing inspiration from Dante’s iconic works, La Vita Nuova and Inferno, the film takes audiences on a medieval revivalist journey through the circles of hell. In this iconographic and kitsch version of the underworld, Hell is not a divine punishment but a psychological landscape, shaped by Dante’s own limerence and longing for what he can never have.
