POLYMORPHER
A woman births an egg. From the egg emerges a mythical shadow bird, which transforms into three sisters.
Guided spiritually by The Elder who walks between worlds, the sisters challenge the monsters that shadow women's lives: those inherited, those imposed, and those that grow in the dark spaces of doubt.
Blending ritual, shadow theatre, storytelling, and dance, this 40-minute performance explores femininity as a continual process of becoming. At its heart is the Polymorpher - a fabulated figure that embodies the many selves a woman inhabits throughout her life as she moves through cycles of transformation.
Playful, tender, and unruly, the work invites audiences into a world where shadows reveal hidden truths, stories become potions, and transformation becomes an act of power.
