Teo Ruffini Maiques
Teo Ruffini Maiques (@toetric) is a multidisciplinary artist based in Barcelona and London, whose practice combines performance, dance, digital art, and music. His work questions performance through cycles of exhaustion and exuberance, the politics of the body within the systems that hold it, and its hyper-commodification. Ruffini works at the meeting point of performance and new technology, across choreography, pole dance, immersive installations, and theatre.
Trained in performance, with studies at LaSalle College of the Arts in Singapore and a degree in Digital Arts from LaSalle Barcelona, he approaches performance as a form of practice-based research, drawing on a range of movement languages, media, and technologies.
His performance work includes Multiplicity, created with Ton Cortiella and Ada Llauradó and presented at MIRA Festival, GRID Sessions Barcelona (produced by CANADA), the fifth edition of INTIMO, and Turbina Fest. He is currently touring Spain as a dancer with SVETLANA. Other works include HUNTER by Lluís Garau, at the twelfth edition of the SAÓ festival in Farrera (Lleida); TORERO at IASLab in Barcelona (2025); and To treat an object like it is a person, to treat a person like it is an object at ONO in Singapore.
