viktoria Feierabend

Viktoria Feierabend works in sculpture, text, sound, and performance. Her work is concerned with power, violence, and desire as latent structures that run through all relationships. She examines the spaces — psychic, social, and physical — that constitute these relationships. 

Language becomes a scalpel to dissect the world. The flirt is taken seriously as a utopian mode of speaking, one that can put up with its own injustice. Against this language, the body appears detached, a strange vehicle. On stage, its contradictions surface, exposed in the vulnerability of presence. Autofiction, Myth, and Tragedy render the subject questionable 

Her artistic practice draws on the experiences of someone for whom corporeality and identity were never self-evident. At its foundation lies an inherent mistrust of power structures — and of a critique that attempts to participate in the domination itself. With childlike seriousness, she asks after truth and justice, and finding them unreliable, she decides to play. 

In 2024, Feierabend graduated from Kunstakademie Düsseldorf. She lives and works between Düsseldorf and London.
